Admissions Information

Admission Requirements and Timelines

To be considered for admission to the GDPL Program, applicants must be pharmacists or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in their jurisdiction and meet UBC's English language requirements.

Applications are open from October 1 to March 31 each year.


STEP 1

The online application requires applicants to submit:

  1. A CV
  2. The names and email addresses of 2 referees 
STEP 2

Applicants are required to self-record and submit responses to questions pertaining to their motivations around the program and leadership development.

Upon review of the materials submitted in Steps 1 and 2, an offer of admission is made within 8 weeks.*

STEP 3

Applicants who receive offers of admission must:

  1. Accept the offer within 2 weeks
  2. Pay the acceptance deposit**
  3. Submit original transcripts from all past pharmacy-related degree programs by June 15, 2026 (a standard requirement of UBC) either via email to pharmsci.gdpl@ubc.ca or by mail to:

Note: Applicants whose past academic record does not meet UBC’s threshold for admission will still be considered on a case-by-case basis, based on the applicant’s motivations.

* Offers of admission are conditional until Step 3 is completed in full. 
** A non-refundable acceptance deposit of $1,000 for domestic and $1,500 for international applicants is due upon offer acceptance into the program. The acceptance deposit gets credited towards the first tuition installment. If the student does not commence the program, the deposit is forfeited.
