Description
Join us for a technique-focused session on vital signs measurement. We’ll review the assessment of temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure using different routes and methods, and share some practical tips. This session will demonstrate correct techniques and the use of various instruments to accurately measure your patient’s vital signs.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate correct techniques for measuring body temperature using oral, axillary, rectal, and tympanic methods.
- Accurately assess pulse rate using radial, brachial, carotid, pedal, and apical sites.
- Evaluate respiratory rate through observation, auscultation, and palpation.
- Measure blood pressure using both automatic and manual methods.
