Faculty welcomes Dr. Yuki Meng as pharmacist at new UBC Gateway Clinic

February 12, 2026

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences is pleased to announce the arrival of Dr. Yuki Meng, who is joining us as a pharmacist at UBC's new Gateway Clinic. Yuki will play an integral role in delivering team-based care and contributing to interprofessional education as part of this innovative teaching clinic.

Dr. Meng brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to advancing pharmacy practice in collaborative healthcare settings. A graduate of UBC's PharmD program, she completed her Primary Care residency with University Health Network in Toronto, where she developed expertise in integrated patient care. Most recently, Yuki has been serving as a project coordinator within the Practice Innovation portfolio, where she has worked closely with the First Nations Health Authority on several initiatives focused on cultural safety and humility, as well as expanding access to pharmacist care in underserved communities. Prior to this role, she spent a year at the Pharmacists Clinic, where she gained valuable experience precepting pharmacy students and contributing to interprofessional education—experience that positions her perfectly to mentor the next generation of health professionals at the Gateway Clinic.

The Gateway Clinic, set to open this spring, will bring together 10 health professional programs to provide collaborative primary care for the community while offering hands-on interprofessional training for students. The clinic is part of UBC's new Gateway building, a state-of-the-art hub for student health, teaching and research that officially opened this month.

"We're excited to have Yuki join this important partnership," said Dr. Teri Charrois, Associate Dean, Practice Innovation. "The Gateway Clinic represents a unique opportunity to advance integrated care, teaching and research, and Yuki's expertise will be invaluable as we work alongside our colleagues across health disciplines to deliver collaborative, patient-centered care and train the next generation of health professionals."
